Hi, I’m Alfonso, a Colombian-Puerto Rican UX designer with a laid-back, culturally rooted vibe — shaped by my hometown of New Haven, CT, and two decades in the multicultural city of Orlando, FL. I now reside in Atlanta, GA, where I continue to channel my passion for art and design—one that first sparked at the age of 4 and has only grown stronger over the years. My journey led me to earn a BA in studio art from the University of Central Florida while also honing my skills in digital art.
During my time at UCF, I had the privilege of collaborating with the Universal Creative design team as a lead concept artist for a themed indoor steel rollercoaster. I developed background designs, crafted scene storyboards, and designed promotional key art that brought the project to life. I also gained valuable marketing experience as the marketing content manager for 8 Oaks Property Group, where I designed logos, signage, and digital materials while successfully launching a social media marketing campaign. Afterwards, I took an interest in UX design and went on to complete Google's UX Design Certificate program to sharpen my skills.
At my core, I’m passionate about using my creativity to make a meaningful impact, especially within underrepresented communities. Recently, I helped my sister build a website for her business, which focuses on helping Hispanic immigrants learn about financial literacy and homeownership. After completing her site, she began recommending me to her students, which led me to design logos and websites at a reduced rate for immigrant small business owners, helping them establish a strong online presence.
